Title: Senior Accountant Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in financial reporting and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and support business decision-making. THIS IS 100% ON-SITE JOB - ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and external audit requests. Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions for accuracy. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings as needed. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accounting staff. Partner with finance and operations teams to provide analysis that supports business objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Advanced in Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Competencies High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure. Proactive problem-solving and process improvement mindset. Leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor team members.
