account. Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking a
Work Control Manager - Boca Raton, FL. The Work Control
Administrator is a management-support associate serving all
University sites and campuses. The Work Control Administrator is
responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and
operation of the work control function, to include the University’s
enterprise-wide computerized facility, infrastructure and asset
information and maintenance management system. Duties and
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Senior Director, the
Work Control Manager is a management-support role serving all
University sites and campuses. The Work Control Manager oversees
the administration, supervision, and operation of the work control
function, acting as the central coordination hub for facilities
operations and maintenance work activity. The role is responsible
for stewardship of the operational work order and maintenance
decision record within the University’s facilities and asset
management system, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and
visibility in support of operational accountability, audit
readiness, and informed decision-making. Oversees the supervision
of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion,
enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem
resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for
personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity
and performance. Develops and maintains current and standardized
Work Control operating policy, procedures, supporting materials ,
and guidelines. Monitors the work order lifecycle and ensures
timely, accurate, and complete entry of information by system
users, maintaining the integrity of the operational decision record
for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
Serves as custodian of the facilities work control decision record,
ensuring the integrity, traceability, and long-term accessibility
of work order and maintenance history, in coordination with system
administrators, in support of operational accountability, audit
readiness, and asset lifecycle management. Develops and maintains
workforce measurement reports, provides system summaries of
performance, and identifies those areas where efficiency and
effectiveness may be improved. Provides summary analyses,
projections, and associated recommendations to management and key
stakeholders. Evaluates and proposes changes to work control
processes and associated systems to improve the efficiency of the
University’s stewardship of resources. Serves as primary point of
contact for intake, coordination, and resolution tracking of all
customer service work order issues, in collaboration with
supervisory and technical staff. Oversees all facets of the daily
operations of the work control unit, ensuring procedural compliance
and adherence to established policies and requirements within its
scope. Provides support to the Facilities Management Business
Office for work-order-related activities, including tracking
financial transactions. Performs other job-related duties as

Bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience; or a high
school diploma or equivalent and seven or more years of
progressively responsible experience in facilities operations, work
control, or asset management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED: • Ability to work independently as well as
collaboratively and prioritize assignments. • Demonstrated
proficiency in enterprise information management systems, including
maintaining records, ensuring data quality, and producing reports.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and communicate procedures and
supporting documentation, including delivering training to diverse
audiences. • Ability to communicate effectively and address
customer service concerns through coordination, escalation, and
resolution tracking. • Ability to coordinate work control
activities across multiple organizational units while maintaining
clear role boundaries. • Knowledge of planning and scheduling
techniques. • Demonstrated ability to ensure data integrity and
decision traceability within enterprise facilities and asset
management systems. • Demonstrated skill in the use of computers,
preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment. • Working
knowledge of audit, internal control, and records stewardship
principles related to facilities operations. PREFERENCES: •
Knowledge of complex or enterprise-wide facilities and asset
management systems and work control processes. • Knowledge of
building systems, facilities and infrastructure. • Experience
serving as a functional or operational steward of an enterprise
information system. Salary: $65,000.00 Annually. College or
