Description As a Workshop Manager, you will be accountable for
leading the technicians on the workshop floor, overseeing effective
management and performance of the Fort Lauderdale maintenance
operation, delivering outstanding levels of service and compliance
with quality standards. You will promote safe working practices,
improve day-to-day operations, ensure paperwork is completed to a
high standard by the technicians, and maintain high levels of
quality standards for our customers. This workshop services the FLL
airport. Responsibilities Take end-responsibility for quality,
efficiency, safety, and resources within your unit. Coach and
motivate team members, fostering teamwork. Implement processes and
procedures with the utilization of SAP to manage resource and labor
allocation. Ensure correct stock management by determining and
ordering needed resources such as spare parts and office supplies.
Provide insights to management regarding planning feasibility and
advise on viable solutions and bottlenecks. Identify and visualize
planned maintenance and outstanding problems using available
systems. Track the progress of work packages, monitoring standard
times, bottlenecks, backlog, and feasibility. Assist team members
in processing and making production figures and quality data
visible to operations. Create, check, evaluate, and sign inspection
lists. Implement contingency procedures. Instruct team members in
maintenance and malfunctions for the safe maintenance of vehicles
and equipment. Transfer knowledge for the professional development
of team members. Coordinate and evaluate activities with key
stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. Advise customers
regarding the availability of vehicles and equipment. Contribute to
professional knowledge by setting up quality measurements in
consultation with management. Propose improvements such as
adjusting procedures and making new work agreements. Investigate
and produce technical improvements to equipment to reduce cost per
unit and increase availability for customers. Take
end-responsibility for workshop administration within your unit,
including work orders, invoicing preparation, and time control.
Demonstrate active safety leadership by driving the safety culture
and implementing initiatives to continuously improve safety
performance and OHSA management systems. Essential Skills Diesel
mechanic back-ground. Previous management leadership experience.
Experience in equipment maintenance and GSE. Proficient in shop
management. Expert technical back-ground in GSE maintenance and
repair, including mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, air pressure,
air conditioning/refrigeration units, and electrical systems
(Preferred). Ability to make complex decisions under pressure.
Stress resistance. Ability to assist in the implementation of
formal quality improvement. Commitment to achieving an
OHSA-friendly working environment through additional safety
education. Role model behavior. Team communication skills. Drive
for excellence. Proficient in MS Office 365. Leadership skills:
facilitating teamwork, communicating the vision, effective
delegation, managing change, managing conflict, and directing

This on-site role is based at the assigned workshop, involving
regular movement across the workshop, yard, and airside areas, as
well as office-based administrative work. The role requires
obtaining and maintaining an active airport-issued airside badge.
The position involves active supervision of operations, equipment
inspections, interaction with staff and customers, and completion
of business administration tasks using a computer and related
systems. Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing,
bending, and reaching, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Good vision and hearing are essential. Exposure to noise, weather,
and typical industrial hazards is expected. Work hours are Monday
through Friday, 8:30-5pm or 7-3:30, with some flexibility to
accommodate shift changes. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent
position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay
range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr. They offer
three different medical plans with UHC (1 HSA plan and two
traditional plans), there is cost sharing as well, for Employee
Only TCR covers 80% of the monthly premium, for EE 1 or EE Family
TCR covers 65%. Delta is through Delta Dental And Vision is through
UHC It's a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision,
and dental insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, a 401k
