defense. What You Will Do Setup and operate all types of machining
equipment (both CNC and manual) to produce, repair and modify
precision parts, fixtures and tooling. Machining operations to
include boring, turning, milling, drilling, reaming, grinding and
more. Plan methods and sequences of operations to develop and write
less complex programs utilizing various types machine languages.
Make less complex calculations involving the use of advanced
mathematics and various measuring instruments. Apply knowledge of
geometric dimensioning and tolerances to solve and determine
appropriate machining processes. Determine setup for CNC or manual
machine operation. When not specified, select the most effective
work holding methods and devices to hold various shaped parts and
assemblies. Pick up reference points to check location of internal
and external details and pertinent centerlines. Select or modify
cutting tools and holders most appropriate for the type of
materials and cuts to be made from available supply, if not
otherwise specified. Prepare sketches of special cutting tools and
holders. Perform other related duties as required to facilitate
machining operations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Comply with all Company, Federal, and State Environmental and
Safety regulations and procedures. This is a 2nd shift position.
Monday-Friday 3:30pm-midnight.There is a 10% shift differential on
2nd shift. Qualifications You Must Have Two plus years of hands-on
experience in the machinability of a wide variety of materials,
including knowledge of appropriate speeds, feeds, cutting tools,
and associated methodologies. Also requires the ability to use a
variety of precision measuring instruments. A well-rounded
knowledge of shop mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, and
geometry, to read and interpret complex technical drawings and
perform accurate computations for developing program routines,
setting up equipment, and verifying work High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications We Prefer Strong background and understanding of
GD&T principles to ensure precision in interpreting and
applying engineering specifications for manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience with Mastercam programming software, including
expertise in 3D Mill, Multi-Axis, and Turn modules, to develop,
optimize, and implement machining programs for complex components.
Ability to operate and create programs for various Haas Lathes and
Mills Machining Centers. Familiarity with setting up and running
these machines to produce accurate parts efficiently What We Offer
