Job Summary and Qualifications The Cardiovascular Technician assists the cardiologist within the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiolgy Labs in the performance of invasive procedures and provides a safe environment for the patient. The CVT will also participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties. Keeps up to date on new procedures, equipment and exam protocols, and assists with maintaining supply inventory at acceptable levels. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the CVT's practice. Establishes and maintains good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, medical staff and our customers in general. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R) Radiography Vocational School Graduate HCA Florida University Hospital is a 165 bed hospital.
