Prestigious Law Firm with multiple locations is seeking a Controller for their Miami Beach location.

This is an integral advisor to the Partner team, the Controller will devise and implement proven cost controls, effective billing & collections programs and ensure that decisions are made with full information and awareness of the bottom line. Our Controller must possess strong communication skills as well as awareness in business planning.The Controller will assist in planning and implementing the accounting, forecasting, and cash management functions of the firm, handle the annual budgets, evaluate the firm's practices and analyze cost, budgets, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities. Additionally, the Controller will protect the firm's financial stability by ensuring that internal controls are adequate to safeguard assets and that accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reporting. Our Controller is responsible for processing the semi-monthly payrolls for employees and monthly draws for partners of the firm.

Requirements:-

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA preferable)- 6 to 8 years of applicable work experience

- Work history includes senior level Accounting, Management or Controller position

- Proven success in billing, bookkeeping, budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, payroll, people management and tax systems in a service-based business

- Significant supervisory experience is ideal

Requirements

- Solid communication with colleagues and management

- Understanding and implementation of GAAP standards

- Attention to detail

- Proficiency with financial systems, databases, Microsoft Excel and other related applications- Leadership ability

- The drive to improve systems and devise cost-saving proposals

-Proficient with Time Matters, Tabs, Word and Excel
