Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of marine engine parts, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in West Palm Beach.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of industrial machinery and heavy equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a range of mechanical systems and equipment, a strong troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety and quality.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, heavy equipment, and related systems in 2 general buildings
Equipments that we work with are the following: Hydraulic presses, welding machines, automated saws, air systems, lathes, CNC & manual, pneumatic equipment, water jet machine
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
Replace defective parts, such as gears, bearings, and other components.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical problems and develop appropriate repair strategies.
Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration for optimal performance.
Adjust and fine-tune equipment settings based on operational requirements.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
Prepare reports on equipment status and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance and repairs.
Ensure that all work is compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Work closely with other team members to address equipment-related issues and improve overall efficiency.
Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing maintenance projects and future needs.
Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
Follow all company safety and security procedures.
Maintains safety, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily



KEY REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, particularly with heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
Electrical experience is a plus
Good communication skills. Spanish speaker is not mandatory, but it is a plus.
Punctual, reliable and conscientious with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
The ability to multitask, prioritize and drive projects is a must.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., noise, dust, temperature extremes).
Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks effectively.
